FAQ
Q: How old must I be to drive?
A: Drivers must be at least 18 years of age, with a valid license, to participate in Autocross and X Innovation Experience. Drivers must be at least 25 years of age, with a valid license, to participate in Street Drives and M Control Academy. Licenses will be checked onsite.
Q: Are there any limitations to how many times I can drive in the Autocross?
A: Drivers may only pre-register for one (1) Autocross session per city. Once onsite, should space be available, drivers may request to participate in one (1) additional Autocross session for a total of two (2) Autocross drives per city.
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: Yes, but all drivers must preregister online in their own name. You will receive a confirmation email, once your registration is complete, to verify your preregistered activity. All guests will be required to register as well when they arrive onsite.
Q: Why can’t I pre-register for Street Drives and X Innovations Experience?
A: These activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis and runs continuously throughout each day. Drivers just need to check in at registration onsite to take part in this activity.
Q: What does it mean if I am wait-listed?
A: Signing up for the wait-list allows drivers to obtain driving spaces in the event that pre-registered guests do not show up for their appointment. Similar to flying standby, wait-listed drivers must check in at registration at the assigned activity time and will be notified shortly thereafter if space is available. As a wait-listed guest, you are still welcome to enjoy the other onsite activities like Street Drives or X Innovations Experience.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: All BMW UDE programs are free of charge with the exception of the half-day M Control Academy, which costs $250 per session. M Control Academy is only available in New Jersey and Orange County.
Q: Can my family and friends ride in the car with me?
A: Once each person registers onsite, companions of all ages may only ride along in the Street Drive and X Innovations Experience programs (please note that the installation of car seats is prohibited). Only registered drivers are permitted in the track activity vehicles, but additional seating will be provided for companions to sit at the track tent as a spectator.
Q: Will there be additional passengers in the Autocross vehicle with me?
A: As a portion of our increased safety measures, no additional passengers will ride in the Autocross vehicle. The BMW Professional Instructors will coach all participants by radio.
Q: What health and safety measures will be put in place for this year’s event?
A: Before entering the event, you will be asked to take a mandatory temperature check as well as answer a series of questions. If you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above, you will be unable to attend the event. In order to comply with government guidance and to promote a safe and healthy experience at the event, we ask that you only participate in this event if you can answer "NO" to all questions below:
